From my travel experience, below are some of the best hotel accommodation in Bali that I’ve stayed at. These hotels are all suitable for family holiday hotel accommodation.
Bali Mountain Villa Accommodation
Elephant Safari Park Lodge villas are good for family, especially for families with children that like goin on elephant rides. Step off your villa balcony to start your elephant ride through jungle to other parts of the mountain estate near Ubud. The villas are large enough to accommodate a family of 4 or 5. Elephant Safari Park Lodge is one of the best family friendly places to stay in Bali. I HIGHLY recommend this good style, luxury villa accommodation for any family holiday in Bali.
Shantiasa Villas east of Ubud overlook a hotel swimming pool then down into rice paddy covered valley before rising up a mountain on the other side of the valley. My big villa had a huge bed and nice balcony to enjoy the sectacular mountain views from. There were plenty of good bistros (small restaurants) with good food and good, hospitable service. Villa pricing in the Green season was very affordable and presented good value.
Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa
The Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa is an older, luxury beachfront resort very suitable for families. I think of it as a 6 star resort in Nusa Dua. Families will love the big swimming pools, entertainment for kid such as table tenis, security guards with guns that patrol the Nusa Dua beach. The hotel restaurants serve high quality food. Most nights there’s good entertainment. Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and hospitable. From my experience and from good hotel guest reviews, I highly recommend a relaxing family holiday at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa. Best South Kuta Beach Family Hotel
If your family would like to stay in a luxury beachfront hotel near Kuta Beach but far enough from the busyness of central Kuta then I recommend the beachfront Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. It’s secure and has a family friendly shopping centre next door. ATMs, transport and street food are available on the street, east of this hotel. The staff are friendly/hospitable/helpful. Dinining while outside in gardens near the beach while watching evening entertainment is relaxing. The big hotel, beachfront swimming pools are good for families to cool off, play and relax in. Clean towels and sunbeds are free.
Cheap Family Accommodation Bali
To get away from busy parts of southern Bali you can find cheap family accommodation in northern and eastern Bali at places like near Ubud in the mountains and Candi Dasa on the east coast of Bali where the family can enjoy clear water snorkelling trips from out rigger canoes.
With high density building and population in the southern parts of Bali the government in conjunction with Bali hotel developers, plan a big push of hotel development in areas of northern Bali.
Family Friendly Hotels Legian
The first hotel I stayed at in Bali, in 1974 was the thatched roofed Legian Beach hotel, a few months after it openned. I remember having to bow my head to get below the front door. I stayed there again in 1993 and was impressed with the Dutch style of development. This Beachfront hotel at Legian Beach is suitable for families.
